Clinical Study of Congenital Musculas Torticollis

Abstract
|
|
|
The 24 patients, who were followed over than 1 year, were analyzed and the results were as follows.
1. On the group which were less than 1 year old of age, improvement of the neck motion and facial asymmetry were remarkable by the stretching exercise in all patients. On the group which were from 1 year to 10 years old of age, the range of the neck motion was improved in all cases but the facial asymmetry and residual shortness of muscle were observed in 50 percent of the cases.
2. The method of operation was distal tenomyotomy in most cases. But in 10 percent of the cases complete resection was required.
3. On the group which were more than 10 years old of age, the range of the neck motion was improved in fair degree but the severe facial asymmety were remained.
